Virtual Check-In

River View Lodge is a private lodge offering a calm, self-guided stay experience. While we share some similarities with boutique hotels, our property operates most closely like a private home rental — allowing guests greater privacy, flexibility, and uninterrupted time together.

There is no traditional front desk or on-site staff. Instead, we use a secure Virtual Check-In process that provides everything you need before you arrive.

This approach allows guests to arrive on their own schedule, settle in at their own pace, and enjoy the lodge without unnecessary interruptions.

When staying at River View Lodge, you can expect:

  • A self-guided arrival with no front desk check-in

  • Personalized door codes for the main building and your suite

  • Clear instructions for parking, entry, and property access

  • Support available by phone or message if questions arise

Each suite has its own coded lock, and the front entrance to the lodge is also secured by a coded entry system.

How Virtual Check-In Works

1. Before Your Stay

Prior to arrival, you’ll receive an automated email and text message inviting you to access your secure boarding pass link.

This link will display your reservation details, arrival information, and helpful property notes.

2. Verification Step

When you click “Verify Me,” you’ll be guided through a quick verification process that includes:

  • Confirming your contact details

  • Uploading a photo of your ID

  • Agreeing to the house guidelines

  • Adding a credit card on file for incidentals

This process helps keep the property secure and allows us to offer a seamless, staff-free arrival experience.

3. Access Instructions

Once verification is complete, your boarding pass will update to display “Check-In Instructions.”

From there, you’ll be able to:

  • View your personalized door codes

  • Access the main entrance and your suite

  • Find important property information all in one place

You may enter your code manually or use the lock/unlock buttons directly from the boarding pass.

Arrival Day

On the day of your stay, simply arrive at the lodge during your check-in window, follow the provided instructions, and enjoy your time at River View Lodge.

There is no need to coordinate arrival times or wait for staff — your stay begins when you arrive.

A Note on Privacy & Support

Many of our guests appreciate the flexibility and privacy of Virtual Check-In. However, we understand that self-guided arrivals may be new for some.
